Our story begins in 1997 in Valcerasa, meaning Cherry Valley, where Alice’s father’s vineyard was located on the eastern slope of Mount Etna. It’s from here that their flagship wine, Valcerasa, originates. In 2000, the ideal location to establish a winery was discovered by Alice and Rosario in Croce Monaci in the northern slopes of Mount Etna. Today, this site remains the home of the winery and estate.

Over the course of two decades, they managed to expand their property from 3 to approximately 18 hectares of land.

Production remains limited to 25,000 to 30,000 bottles per year to preserve the exceptional quality of the grapes grown in this unique volcanic terroir.

Bonaccorsi follows organic practices and is certified ICEA (Istituto per la Certificazione Etica e Ambientale). They are strongly committed to promoting biodiversity, maintaining spontaneous vegetation, and preserving fruit trees that contribute to the natural balance. Their vineyards stem from plants that are 80 years old, and their care relies solely on the use of copper-based sulfur. This approach allows them to obtain grapes free from chemical residues while being rich in natural yeasts that play a fundamental role in the winemaking process.

In the cellar, a natural philosophy is embraced. Spontaneous fermentation is employed, and the vinification process is carried out using traditional methods. By prioritizing physical principles over chemical interventions, the integrity and authenticity of the wines are preserved, reflecting the essence of the volcanic soil and meticulous craftsmanship. The winery firmly believes in waiting for the right moment to release wines to the market. The result is a collection of products with authenticity, personality, and a rich narrative that reflects the terroir, the origin of the winemaking process, and the dedication of people who care for them.

A crucial aspect for them is represented by the fresh and innovative ideas of their daughters, who contribute to infusing new vitality into the company while maintaining the distinctive coherence that characterizes Bonaccorsi.
