It is not far from the delicate perfumes emanating from Maison Troisgros that our friends of the Désormière family are installed. The family farm was created in 1974 by Michel and Marie-Jo, then their children, Eric and Thierry, took over in 1996. The family has always worked in mixed farming, with a little cattle breeding to maintain the relief of the Roanne coast. This small appellation by its size (210
ha) marks the beginning of the large and stretched wine region of the Loire Valley. The two brothers now work an area of 15 hectares of vines located on the granite slopes of the appellation. Here the benefactor is therefore called Gamay. The family vinifies it mainly in parcels and in Beaujolaise; in whole harvest with generally between 4 and 6 days of maceration. For many year, Eric and Thierry
were working according to the principles of the organic farming, in 2020 things became official with the obtention of the label. Today, the brothers are trying to improve there vinification methods in order to limit always a little more there input (sulfites) into the wines. Commercially and ethnically, Eric and Thierry are very attached to making this appellation of the Côte Roannaise recognized as a
notable region of the "Loire Valley" capable of offering wines for wide thirst and all types of purses.
